Homburg Invest names Jan Schöningh President for North America and Michael J. O'Hara Corporate Secretary
Halifax, Nova Scotia, July 10, 2009 - Richard Homburg, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Homburg Invest Inc. ("Homburg Invest" or the "Company") (TSX: HII.A & HII.B and NYSE Euronext Amsterdam: HII) announced today the appointment of Jan Schöningh as President, North America, and Michael O'Hara as Corporate Secretary of Homburg Invest, effective July 1, 2009.

His highly developed planning and management skills will complement the entrepreneurial culture that exists within Homburg today. Among his various responsibilities as president, Jan will focus on building our North American business and on our relationships with our investors as we execute our strategic plan going forward. I am very pleased that he accepted this new challenge", said Richard Homburg.
Jan Schöningh joined the Homburg Group of Companies in 2007 as Vice-President, Development of Homburg Canada Inc. and Managing Director of Viger DMC International Inc. Previously, Mr. Schöningh spent 12 years at Fairmont Hotels and Resorts where he occupied positions of General Manager in Canada, Barbados and Monaco. Prior to this, Mr. Schöningh worked for the Walt Disney Company where he was part of the pre-opening and opening team of Disneyland Paris. Mr. Schöningh will work from Homburg's Montreal offices.

"Having practiced law for twenty five years, Michael brings with him tremendous legal experience and expertise. He has worked with the Homburg Group as a legal advisor for many years and we are very pleased to have him join our team," Richard Homburg added.
Michael J. O'Hara joined Homburg Group in July of 2009. Having practiced law in the Halifax area since his admission to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1984, Mr. O'Hara operated until recently his own law firm and has been an adjudicator of the Nova Scotia Small Claims Court since 2003. He has also been involved in numerous community organizations.
